Your privacy is of great importance to us at Jackson County Habitat for Humanity (“Jackson County HFH” or “we” or “us”). As a user of our website (the “Site”), you are valued by us. We will seek to take appropriate measures to protect the personally identifiable information (collectively, “Personal Information”) provided by and collected from you on the Site with respect to the services, information offered, volunteer opportunities, and ways to give on the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

What Information Does Jackson County HFH Collect About Site Visitors?

At the Site, we do not collect Personal Information from individuals unless they provide it to us (or our third-party providers) voluntarily and knowingly. We or our third-party providers gather Personal Information, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, e-mail addresses, credit card details, etc., only when voluntarily submitted by you. Personal Information that we (or a third party) collect falls into several categories outlined below.

Information that Site Visitors Give Us: We may receive and store the information that you enter at our Site, provide to us on a webpage or give to us in any other way. You can always choose not to provide some or all of the information which we request. This information is used solely by us and other entities in furtherance of our charitable activities.

Email Communications: To make the email we send you more helpful and relevant to your interests, we receive and store certain types of information. Ways to Give/Donations:  If you choose to donate through the Site, we may collect more information about you depending on how you choose to donate.  You may donate funds via mail, or electronically.  Additionally, you may choose to give construction or remodeling items to our store (i.e., Restore.)  If you donate electronically, then you will be provided a link to a third-party site (powered, at this time, by Network for Good).  Network for Good will then request your credit card number and other details.  Network for Good will process your donation, as well as provide you links to its Privacy, Security and Disclosure Statement and Charitable Solicitation Disclosure.  Please read and review these documents to better understand how Network for Good may use and share your Personal Information.

Does Jackson County HFH Share the Information It Receives?

We are not in the business of selling information about our Site users. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you and we treat it with great care and respect. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your data with certain third parties. We will share Personal Information with third parties when (i) the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it, (ii) the third-party is performing a function on behalf of us that is directly related to the operation of the Site or to a service or information provided on the Site, and access to such information is necessary to the performance of such function or to the provision of such services or information being provided, or (iii) we are required to by law to do so.

If you desire to review your own Personal Information, to correct existing information, or to remove your information, please contact us via email at admin@jacksoncountyhfh.org.  If you request removal of your Personal Information, you acknowledge that residual information may continue to reside in our records and archives, but we will not use that information for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to maintain your Personal Information if we have suspended, limited, or terminated your access to our Site for violating our Terms of Use.

As outlined in this Privacy Policy, you can always choose not to provide information; however, doing so may prevent you from donating or accessing other valuable features at our Site.

For example, a separate third party, Network for Good, collects donations through a Site link for Jackson County HFH.  You understand and agree that your use of such third-party sites will be governed by the privacy policies of those sites and not by this Privacy Policy. THIS PRIVACY POILCY ONLY ADDRESSES THE USE AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED BY US, NOT THE THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE.  We will not be responsible for the actions or policies of these independent third-party websites and are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these sites.

Children

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide information on this Site without their permission.
